It is also very important to check to see if the state you live in requires pharmacy technician certification to enable the individual to be employed in a pharmacy. Many states do not require certification, however, it does lend credence to the quality of the technicians education. Even if the state does not require it, the student should seriously think about sitting for the exam as the certification will be proof that they have the knowledge necessary to do the job.
