Writing With a Creative Approach
Each and every day keep your ears and eyes alert so you might enjoy the things that are happening as you go about your schedule. Some of the things can be really funny if you add a creative twist to something before, during or at the end of the event. Even awfully ordinary things can have a hilarious slant added to them.
See if you can take a standard task ex: flossing your teeth and see if you can make it into something funny by inserting a creative twist. Look back to things that might make that event even funnier.
Maybe things that could happen to the tube of toothpaste. You might squirt toothpaste on the floor. You may have the end of the tube have a hole in it. Then consider the brush and what could possibly be funny about that. It may be color combinations of the brush, maybe it broke when you were traveling and you had to figure out how you could use it with just the brush top and no handle.
The more unique things you could have happen to, in this example an easy toothbrush, the more creative writing twists you may have occur. You can continue to gather things related to that subject and use those bits and pieces in a selection of your stories.
Everything is a fair target for gathering information and turning those activities into funny stories by adding those creative twists. Write down thoughts as you go thru life and from talks, watching TV or listening to the radio. Whatever makes you smile is a probable way for you to re-frame your stories.
